Once When I Was just a wee one I watched a lot Magnum PI with my Dad. He also had a mustache and wore Hawaiian shirts. I truly believe this is the main reason I have such an affinity towards a tropical print. Coupled with the fact that my baby years were spent on Venice Beach, CA and my tween to teens were on Hollywood Beach, FL; I know my way around a palm tree and a hibiscus flower.

Here I am wearing a vintage Gloria Vanderbilt tropical button down scored at a South Florida Goodwill. The awesome chambray circle skirt is c/o OBEY Clothing and my killer wedges are c/o 80%20 shoes.

Off to meetings today, not really channeling inspiration from anywhere specific. Just wearing some of my favorite go-to pieces.

The tie blouse is about 10 years old H+M. Can you believe it has lasted that long?! The stories this top could tell.  (Trick is not to wash it after every wear, and wash in the delicate cycle.) Think about it, you don’t wash your jeans every time you wear them? I don’t wash my hair in every shower I take. Ok, maybe it’s just me. It’s not like I am rolling in a pile of mud.

I like to call this my faux-Chanel jacket. Yes, I know, you know it isn’t Chanel. I am not foolin’ anyone. By anyone, I mean fashion folks. It’s from Zara and I can’t find it for you on the interwebs.

These are my 80’s throwback floral jeans c/o Citizens of Humanity. I love them because the remind me of high school. Yeah, I am emotionally stunted.

Here are the Magnet clogs c/o Bed:Stu that got me into wearing clogs. I never met a clog I liked until I met the Magnet. Is it because I now live in LA and I am getting back to my hippie roots? I don’t know. Is it because the word clog is such an unappealing word? Could be.

I’m a sucker for a trend, so thank you MeChar for the awesome Brigid pouch.

If I was in New York I would totally start rocking this white Lacoste Live! fedora.  Hopefully I would not make that silly face again.

A street style snap of me outside the Libertine show during NYFW.  Thanks @NYCStreetfile but I have to correct my clothing credits.

OOTD : Oh lordy, it’s hot!

Can’t deal with much other than escaping to the movies on days like these.  Super easy-going c/o this Uniqlo x velvet maxi dress.  As usual, hair is up in a vintage scarf and Melissa zig zag slippers.

Market Recap! Citizens of Humanity @CtznsofHumanity preview the other day, one of the pieces I was most surprised by how much I loved it was this denim over-sized vest.  I tossed on over my velvet blazer and was ready to sneak outta the showroom right then and there.  So versatile.

I made an effort to steal this @LiciaFlorio mustard blazer because it went so well with my crazy cat lady skirt and low end theory tights @capsuleshow

Digging in Mom’s closet and I find a skirt from Nana. #OOTD #leyendeker top #vintage wrap skirt @8020shoes (Taken with instagram)

It’s rare I wear all black but I have to admit there is something witchy and mystical feeling about it.  I love that the skirt has a leather panel to it so I like to think I am channeling Stevie Nicks with the leather and lace aspect.  Reaching a bit, ehh?

Feeling a bit oh my goth in this floor length black skirt and sequin sweater.  The cats seem to like it.

In Soho. @UniqloUSA J+ coat, @LemLemnyc scarf, @HudsonJeans Nicos, @MinimarketSofie Ursula hat and @JSHOES_USA Ranch booties.

Business up top with a blazer c/o Franklin + Gower and rock-n-roll down below with snakeskin jeans c/o @HudsonJeans. Yep.

The usual suspects are @lemlemnyc scarf and @MinimarketSofie Ursula hat. I don’t know about you but I get attached to clothes and wear something again and again; trying new ways to work it out.
