Can’t deal with much other than escaping to the movies on days like these. Super easy-going c/o this Uniqlo x velvet maxi dress. As usual, hair is up in a vintage scarf and Melissa zig zag slippers.

I dream in plastic ever since I discovered Melissa shoes a few years ago when I needed a cute flat that could hold up in the summertime rain. I was pleased to discover they are life savers all year round. The flats have become my go-to travel slipper. How excited was I to stumble upon the Melissa booth @ProjectShow in Las Vegas last week?
Let’s all just take a moment to discuss the 3 finer point of the shoes above. 1) Woven wedges. 2) Color popping. 3) T-straps with tassels!!

Said flats in new sparkle colors. Oh boy.

Demure bow covered platform pumps.

Flocked studded wedge booties.

Really love the color combo and the texture combo. One last thing about these shoes… the smell like MAC lipglass. It is so wonderfully weird, but true.
Day 4 of #nyfw I opted for this super structured optical floral printed dress I got from Zara in Spain. I am so crazy for this print. I sometimes pair it with super high heels but I can’t deal with my feet hurting when I am taking subways back and forth from MBFW @Lincoln Center to @Milkmade shows. Sorry, no town cars for me. Womp-womp. My trusty Melissa flats did me just fine. And these are so perfectly Nyc with the rats.

I am not a morning person. I wish I was. I really, really do. As more often than not, I was running late. I had a fully booked day of running around pulling samples from showrooms. I needed to be ready in five minutes. Like five minutes ago. My silk romper c/o Rebecca Minkoff did the trick.

Up and out the door in 20 minutes flat. Threw my hair in a bun, red lipstick applied, Tom Ford Nikitas on my peepers, vintage butterfly belt and my leopard Timeless shoes with Melissa flats on stand by in my Muse bag.
I know everyone is beginning to think about fall layering again but I love the ease of summer dressing. Nothing extra except accessories.

One day on a shoot in Brooklyn a guy rode up on this to ask us who we were shooting and I said forget about that let me get on your bike!
PS.. The shoot comes out this month in the new issue of Antenna so I will fill you in later.
Topshop romper & Melissa shoes.
The blur of the city.
One of those night when you think you are heading home to cook dinner but one too many cocktails and then the mood to stay out has taken over. It was a beautiful, windy night and I had B take a million hipstamatic snaps until his phone died.
I have this ultra soft cotton maxi dress c/o Elan but of course, for me it’s just a bit too maxi. I have this trick where rather than hanging the dress up I twist it up and tie it in knots to get that major crinkly look. But alas, I am still just a bit too wee. So instead of rocking the platforms, I just knotted the skirt in the back. It’s a sexy halter dress that is not appropriate for work so I layered it with a loose tee c/o Line + Dot that I hacked to give it a cropped effect. My summer shoes of choice this season tends to be my Melissa’s because it’s like wearing slippers. It’s all about proportions when it comes to being small. They are lots of looks and trends I would love to wear but if you can’t make it work for your body then it’s best you just pass on that style and move on to the next one.
Bag: YSL Muse, Arm candy: friendship bracelets and sparkles c/o Shashi. Oh yeah, dinner was at Republic. But this isn’t really a food blog.

Yo, it’s summer. It’s hot. It’s Friday. Is anyone even working today?
Thank god, or actually OBEY Clothing for easy summer dresses. With pockets and studs! All black again, but paired it with a wrist full of arm candy from Shashi, Bliss Lau & vintage. Pom pom flats by Melissa. Leopard scarf is a new vintage score thanks to dear Aunt Jeanette.

Yesterday I wore my Melissa rats. Representing the worst of NYC in the cutest way possible.
