We all know G-Star has killer denim.  The washes are amazing and the fit is perfection.  You put it on and you are cool and edgy, anywhere in the world.  It is absolutely an international denim brand.  I visited the showroom to see what’s new for fw12.  In the photos above I share with you some key pieces that got me excited about what else you can get besides those perfect jeans.

Get on it fellas.  While at ANTENNA magazine I always found Korean-based designer Bumsuk Choi’s General Idea to be a quirky yet utilitarian collection.  It is filled with humor and excellent details.  As usual, there are a few pieces I would gladly steal.  Take for example, this stars and stripes jumper that takes inspiration from archival hockey images of the teams in the 1968 Winter Olympics. I don’t know much from hockey but I do know that I want this sweater.

This season General Idea collaborated with Launching M on these killer hiking boots and there are lots of accessories to add to your collections of fitted hats and shades.

Check out the full runway collection here.

Y’all know I love me some pink.  I don’t know what it is about that color.  Maybe it’s because it wasn’t forced on to me as child.  My Mom was pretty open to let me wear what ever I wanted as a little girl.  And by whatever I wanted I mean all the hand me downs that came our way.  Life with hippies… but I digress.  This post isn’t about that.

It’s about a new iPhone case company I found while I was out at Project LV.   The Le Deux metal case by Incipio caught my eye because of the super bright pink that surrounds the phone.  When the fine folks offered to send me one for a test run I said, “Yes, Please!”  If you are anything like me you drop your phone at least once a day and then you hold your breathe when you pick it up in hopes that it does not have a shattered face.  The Le Deux is a brushed metal case with a polycarbonate frame.  The frame has just enough of a lip on all sides that there is a bumper guard that protects the iPhone when dropped.

I am not saying that you can get this case and start throwing Siri around.  You still need to take care but you can breathe a little easier if she does slip away for a second and faceplants on the floor.

Why these Florsheim by Duckie Brown laser cut lace boots and beaded oxfords don’t come small enough for a lady’s foot is beyond me.  I guess some things have to be off limits.  Peeped here at the Maguire Steele #fw12 preview are these new styles from the DB collection and the rugged Gaffney boots are from the Florsheim Limited collection.

You can cop the gorgeous Lace shoes from SS12 here and the Gaffney here.

Market Recap! Citizens of Humanity @CtznsofHumanity preview the other day, one of the pieces I was most surprised by how much I loved it was this denim over-sized vest.  I tossed on over my velvet blazer and was ready to sneak outta the showroom right then and there.  So versatile.

I love touching and petting.  I know that sounds weird but it’s true.  When I first meet someone I usually touch something that the person is wearing.  Could be a sweater, scarf or necktie.  I can’t help it.  You know what might help?  This vintage fur ring from Dallas Maynard.  I could keep my hands to myself with this little bit of tactile stimulation.

Got the same problem?  Here is the link for the ring.  And follow Dallas Maynard on tumblr!
