Pre-Fall ‘13 I am obsessed with the whole collection.
It’s raining in LA today which somehow makes me happy. I like the changes in the weather. It must be that I spent the first half of my life in forever summer-lands of Venice Beach, Houston and South Florida. Memories are all blurred together with no way of knowing when something happened other than if I was in school or not.
Anyways, my point is that it is raining and that makes me want to get into a cozy knit. I visited the FW12 preview of the Italian label Hache and wanted to keep all of the super soft sweaters to wear and don a spotted fedora while eating bread drenched in olive oil sitting by a fireplace. It’s my daydream, you can join me or not.
The turtleneck poncho is here!
Maybe the cropped ribbed is more your style.

If it isn’t sheer I don’t want it.
I took a moment out of NYFW to visit the new line Zero Degrees Celsius and to catch up with my friend Rudy Roodles last week. I have now decided that come April, I will only wear it if it is see-through and pastel.
Note to self: start stocking up on underpinnings.

Two brothers who love travel and fashion are good guys in my book. On top of that they make #stealfromtheboys shirts and knits. I stopped in to view the Burkman Brothers FW12 collection and here is a few of my favorite pieces. This season they took inspiration from a trip to Iceland. I know, I’m jealous too. Those shirts are so soft you want to rub them all over your face. Ok, maybe that’s just me.

Get on it fellas. While at ANTENNA magazine I always found Korean-based designer Bumsuk Choi’s General Idea to be a quirky yet utilitarian collection. It is filled with humor and excellent details. As usual, there are a few pieces I would gladly steal. Take for example, this stars and stripes jumper that takes inspiration from archival hockey images of the teams in the 1968 Winter Olympics. I don’t know much from hockey but I do know that I want this sweater.
This season General Idea collaborated with Launching M on these killer hiking boots and there are lots of accessories to add to your collections of fitted hats and shades.

@LuccaCouture had some of the cutest details for their fw12 collection. Filled with fanciful prints and darling knits. One of my most coveted pieces were these perforated drawstring leather shorts. So different and sporty.

I know we are (thankfully) finally coming into Springtime but damn, do these FW12 cozy knit overalls by 6 Shore Road make me want to curl up by a fire and drink spiked hot cocoa looking super chic in a ski cabin. Tucked into boots and worn over a great long sleeve henley with a knit cap would be such a foxy look. I am just a teeny tiny bit thinking about winter and snow. So not like me! The fantasy of fashion is a strong influence because I don’t even like snow.
