I’m not much for super clunky boots these days so I went for these skinny flat boots I have had forever from Born which always make me feel like I need to get a Vespa because they have a go-go vibe. I am down to one flannel shirt in my collection and it is an awesome Cheap Monday one that I nicked from my ANTENNA days when we did a flannel story.
Boots by Born / Flannel shirt by Cheap Monday / Tee-shirt c/o Democracy of Nevermind / Cut-off Jeans c/o Joe’s Jeans / Belt c/o Bed|Stu / always with tights.

I hope everyone is as relaxed as I am after the holidays. I had a wonderful time in Atlanta but it is nice to be back in the lovely weather that is Southern California. I am wearing shorts! Keeping it casual for a day of running errands in a really old top I got at Nordstrom and the tag fell off and cut-off Joe’s Jeans with my leopard wedges I got in London.
Want to wear aubergine? This one is a nice find.
Can’t go wrong with these patchwork Joe’s Jeans cut-offs.
I wear this Paul + Joe as a super sexy mini but this time I went casual and tucked it into cut offs c/o Joe’s Jeans.

The end of summer. Easy & relaxed dressing is on it’s way out. #NYFW is starting this week and it signifies the beginning of breaking out the layers again and thinking about new ways of wearing classic pieces that are already in my closet. As much as I love ‘back to school’ shopping it can feel so gluttonous. I have a goal of at making it work with what I own already. I have a jam-packed closet full of clothes that get worn once every six months and another full rack in storage. But let’s hang on to summer dressing a lil bit longer; I’m not ditching my cut-offs just yet.

These are very old Steve Madden suede wedges that only look yellow in the #hipstamatic shot above; which is perfect because it looks great with the yellow & teal OPI Shatter pedicure.

I have on a silk and beaded Line + Dot top with Joe’s Jeans that I cut myself. The pendant is a vintage lapis & coral pin from my Aunt Sharon; it’s one of my most treasured pieces.

Can’t stop with the bird rings. L to R: Forever 21, Spitafield’s market score, Echo of the Dreamer. Arm party c/o Shashi and friendship bracelets, YSL Muse bag, vintage belt and KBL sunglasses.

Day in the Life: Sock edition.
Went to uncharted territories in the Upper West Side last week to get some face to face with Carrie from Sock It To Me. I really don’t get up there enough, pretty much just twice a year for NYFW. But how many people do I know that never get to Brooklyn (except for Williamsburg… no one ever comes to Prospect Heights).
Anyhow… not only was meeting Carrie a real treat there were actual treats in the form of delicious cookies and manicures from nail art mavens over at Valley. Plus I got to pick out not one but three pairs of cute socks. Of course, unicorns, peacocks and deers were tucked into my bag.
Thank you Paige & Carrie for a wonderful afternoon. The most exciting bit of info I learned is that all the socks are designed by the public and voted on. So if there is a sock design you have always wanted I suggest you click here to learn about designing a pair. How cool is that?
I wore a vintage printed circle skirt, Joe’s Jeans striped tank top, vintage belt & necklace and 80%20 shoes.

It was just two months ago that I was on a Spanish holiday. It’s so crazy how the summer is zooming by. There was a great week where all I had to do was go to the beach, eat, shop, eat, read, drink, eat, sleep. Not necessarily in that order.

I always think I am going to really dress up on holiday but pretty quickly I get a bit lazy and begin to live in cut off shorts and easy tops. This chiffon top is Saivana c/o Bollare, the silk parka is Rendez-vous by Paul & Joe Sister for Urban Outfitters, the cut-offs are c/o Joe’s Jeans.

The sunnies are c/o Cheap Monday & and my favorite, the Bonnie flatforms are c/o 80%20. The earrings were a score from the 25 cent bin at H&M one day last summer, my bird ring from Echo of the Dreamer and of course, I am never without my Shashi friendship bracelets.

this tiny suitcase held 2 weeks of outfits that got me from the beach of San Sebastian, Spain to the countryside of Oxford and then to a wedding in London. Notice my ever present Aviator Nation sweatshirt.

Proper English pub and garden in Oxford. Stay tuned for a post on my Schott Perfecto jacket.

Making a dance party in London.

Morning after a dance party in London.

Of course I was having too much fun to remember to get a decent amount of pics taken of my fanciest dresses at the formal events I went to. At the wedding I wore the above Catherine Malandrino butterfly dress.
