A few weeks ago Duri sent me over a sample of their Wine Tasting Party colors for fall. They are inspired by cocktails. There is a deep wine Cabernet Sauvignon, a Grape Swirl greyish-lilac and this perfect Bloody Mary red.
Inspired by the color and the nails; here is my recipe for the perfect spicy Bloody Maria. I like mine with tequila but sub vodka if that’s your preference.

Here are all the ingredients:
If you don’t have an actual bar shaker use a pitcher that you can vigorously stir. I like to use the take out 16 oz plastic take out containers that are piled up in the bottom cabinet. They are great for the perfect 8 ounces and ice.
Tomato Juice: Use a whole bottle but break up into 3 batches. All measurements are for 8 oz of juice.
Horseradish: I use 2 heaping tablespoons per 8 oz juice. This is supposed to be spicy.
Worcestershire Sauce: 1 teaspoon
Celery Salt: 2 pinches.
Tabasco: A few dashes.
Salt: Small shake.
Pepper: 2 shakes.
Juice from Pepperoncini jar: 1 tablespoon.
Fresh Squeezed: Half a lemon.
Fresh Squeezed: 1 lime.

Add a few large ice cubes to container (or pitcher) and shake (or stir) vigorously. This is important to mix all the ingredients and get the juice really chilled.
Serve in large glasses ( I use mason jars). Fill glasses with ice. Pour in tequila (1 to 2 ounces). Fill with Bloody Mary Mix.
Garnish your straws with the Pepperoncini, classic Spanish Olives, Lemon and Lime wedges on the rim of the glass and one last dash of pepper.

You should get 6 hefty servings from 1 bottle of tomato juice.
Thank you Duri for the inspiration!
