NYFW Recap: Elise Øverland
One of the most exciting things I saw this fashion week were the ice skaters from the Ice Theatre of New York at the Elise Øverland show that was held on the tiny little skating rink at the Standard Hotel.
The models were gorgeously covered in feathers + fur and looked about 7 feet tall in the Alejandro Ingelmo booties. They were walked out with assistance and placed on clear rubber mats.
She looked like she was terrified the whole time but the rest of them were cool as cucumbers.
The skaters were so joyful, it was a nice reprieve from angry or blank faced models.
I know that Johnny Weir showed up towards the end but I had already run back uptown to catch the G-Star show.
