When I met graphic designer Alessandro Poli and architect Francesca De Giorgi I couldn’t get over how beautiful their lampshades were. It’s not all fashion over here at OWIW. Let me introduce you to Servomuto. A design duo that “hand-makes, by more than one pair of hands, in Italy” such gorgeous lampshade that I am inclined to call them artwork because lampshade is too silly of a word.
The series pictured here is of the Birds and Butterflies collection but don’t let the animals fool you. It isn’t all pretty prettiness. There are saints, military, holograms and vintage metals to choose from.
