Growing up in South Florida everyone wore espadrilles. It was such a ‘thing’ and I was so longing to be a city girl in NY that I hated them. Never wore them. Not until I grew up and moved to NYC that I began to embrace all the colorful ways of the South. Sure enough, I got my first pair of espadrilles a decade ago and I went for the original in espadrilles. I don’t think my feet were ever happier than that summer. I wore my Castañer gold platforms from May through September for a few years until they eventually smushed down from all the miles I put on them. We walk here in Nyc. A lot.
Luckily, Castañer makes gorgeous flats too. Shop for summer here.

Calling all bad ass bitches! I mean that in the sexiest, most fashion forward way. Have you met Camilla Skovgaard? No? Well, allow me to introduce you. She designs towering, sophisticated sculptural shoes for the “intelligent fashionista”. The booties above are a peek of what’s to come for FW12 but you can see here what she has available now. Every season there is a version of this bootie so why wait til September when you can get them in white now.
Wrist Obsession! Springtime means no more heavy coats. Bare arms means more room to show off your latest arm candy. One of my favorite #stealfromtheboys designers is MIANSAI by Michael Saiger. What started off as a menswear accessories brand a few years ago has blown up to a full fledged jewelry collection. As usual Buckler was a perfect blend of modern yet easy going style for a man.
Yellow will be a huge color for Fall 2011. It popped up at a lot of the menswear shows.
The runway was outside SOHO Buckler store on the street which added to the excitement of a show. Loud music, confused…
