This is my first season in as long as I can remember not attending Men’s Market Week in NYC.  I love seeing all my menswear friends and the new collections at Project NY, (capsule) and MRket.

Since I have #menswear on my brain here is a behind-the-scenes look from the shoot I styled with the handsome actor Jesse Johnson. Yes, son of that other good-looking Johnson.

Here he is wearing a classic motorcycle jacket and knit sweater from Cockpit USA worn with Docker’s Alpha Khakis and two-tone suede Generic Man brogues.

Great day on set with @jaydoubleyoujay in @cockpitusa w/ @brianhigbee behind the lens. #dayinthelife #fashionstylist #menswear #luckygirl

My pal Rudy included me with some of my favorite fashion friends in his post of influencers.  This comes from a very stylish fellow so I am thrilled to be on his list.  Thanks Roodles!

It’s my belief that style is as unique to the the individual as their personality is to the person. “Fashion fades, only style remains the same.”- Coco Chanel

Through the years, so many amazing, stylish influential people have inspired me, please see some of my favorites…

Whether a sweep of movement captured in clothing on “What I Saw Today”- a collection of illustrations by Richard Haines, or discussing trends over cocktails with my close friend & style confidant Christopher Blomquist… the slide show above runs on repeat while simply getting ready for the days tasks.

Characters like Piera & Philipe of Refinery 29 remain humble as they set a new standard for style in fashion coverage, while Edina Sultanik’s confidence and brilliance in public relations has shaped and introduced my role in men’s contemporary fashion- who I met selling retail for Scoop NYC.

Influential designers such as Timo Wieland, Michael Bastian, and Christopher Bailey I drool over- willfully skipping meals to take home my favorite designs; fashion gurus Bruce Pask, Jenni Lee, and Chioma Nanadi I admire and relish in their knowledge of style. While my industry “gays” Paul A, Seth H, Barret W, and William B. constantly keep me on my toes, friends like Michael D & Harlam R‘ keep me stylistically grounded.

As the list continues to grow, my style continues to evolve.
