This is my first season in as long as I can remember not attending Men’s Market Week in NYC. I love seeing all my menswear friends and the new collections at Project NY, (capsule) and MRket.
Since I have #menswear on my brain here is a behind-the-scenes look from the shoot I styled with the handsome actor Jesse Johnson. Yes, son of that other good-looking Johnson.
Here he is wearing a classic motorcycle jacket and knit sweater from Cockpit USA worn with Docker’s Alpha Khakis and two-tone suede Generic Man brogues.

Head to toe styling tips! You might as well pick up these Jasper boots from @THECOBRASOCIETY to go with the Gitman Brother x Mark McNairy shirts and CourtShop shorts featured in my earlier posts. View all the spring styles HERE!

Come summertime, won’t these @Courtshop vintage inspired high-waisted shorts be so freakin’ cute with the Gitman Brothers Vintage x Mark McNairy shirts I showed you earlier?
Yes, you’re welcome. Shop CourtShop here.

Steal from the Boys! Wait! You don’t need to. Menswear staples Mark McNairy and Gitman Brothers join forces and bring you these floral and madras woven shirts. For the the floral indian madras on the left, buy it HERE and the floral voile cop it HERE.

So Fresh and So Clean! Meow Meow Tweet!
While @CapsuleShow I was taken with the cute cats all over the packaging when I approached @meowmeowtweetNY table. Then I got a wiff of the yummy scents like grapefruit mint and lavender with lemon that was wedged within cat claws and family portraits. Such wonderful goodness packed into such a quirky design.

In need of stacking rings? Look no further. Try these classic single bands or the negative space double bands from @ALIBINYC that I discovered @capsuleshow.
Shop Alibi here!

Since we are in a galaxy far away today check out these waxing and waning moon studs from Species by the Thousands that I found @capsuleshow. @Speciesx1000s has teamed up with @ColdPicnic and opened their A Thousand Picnics store in Brooklyn.

Collars come in all sizes. Here is a sweet Peter Pan version from Falconiere by Juniper Rose that still has an edgy vibe because it is leather. In addition to leather collars, feather cravats there are intricate beading and chain pieces to choose from. Visit the website here!

Collars are still going strong into FW12. Here is an open choker by the talented Jill Martinelli and Sabine Lu Guyader of @LadyGreyJewelry that I discovered @CapsuleShow. I would love to pair this with a long lariat necklace to have a nice layering effect.
The jewelry encompasses the design duo’s love of science and nature with geometric rings and bangles to crystal + geodes in pendants, earrings and cuffs. The collection has a dark and romantic edginess that feels completely modern.
Visit their website here and follow their tumblr here!

@MorganCarper is another designer I discovered @Capsuleshow that is playing with hard and soft elements for FW12. The collection had amazing prints and luxurious fabrics but one of my favorite pieces that combine her classic and edgy sensibilities perfectly was this new take on a motorcycle jacket. Visit her here!
Glamorous Warrior Women! Joomi Lim is calling you! Just a peek to show you the incredible range from @JoomiLim with her Dark Romance titanium cuffs to her Mixography fringe necklaces. It was so nice to re-connect with Joomi @capsuleshow this season. I am thrilled to see her latest collection is filled with color, textures and metal. Click these links to shop variations of the pieces above. Dark Romance isn’t out yet, so be sure to follow her tumblr for updates.

This psychedelic JUMA dress reminds me of looking through a microscope in science class. Or a splattered strawberry. It’s like wearing a cloud dress and you can interpret it differently every time. Shop for your favorite @JUMAonline prints at the website here.

There was something so sweet, elegant and special about this knit dress by Risto. The design is a lady-like form fitted sheath with chiffon sleeves but the unique aspect is that it is constructed out of the same sort of crochet (or knitted, I’m not sure)fabric like the blankets that I used have from long lost, great aunts and grannies I never met when I was growing up. You probably have one in an attic somewhere as well. I love a dash of nostalgia in my clothes, don’t you?

Another hefty piece of jewelry is this Elizabeth Knight Egyptian inspired necklace that I came across @TheShinySquirrel booth @CapsuleShow. I love the detail of the clasp. View all of Elizabeth’s current collections here!

Tied up in love when I tried on this @MachaJewelry big gold knot ring @Capsuleshow. Dontcha think it goes great with my Anna Sheffield engagement?
Macha Jewelry has a wonderful assortment of signet rings, ID bracelets and raw, rough edged pieces for guys and dolls.
