Friday #ForTheBoys : This one goes out to all the fellas…

I am all about this Bernhard Willhelm tiger stripe sweater.  Wouldn’t it make the perfect mod mini dress with tights and boots (or perfect Repetto flats!)  See it here in the mens’ runway look #22 from the FW12 collection.

What do you think: #stealfromtheboys or let them have it?

Get on it fellas.  While at ANTENNA magazine I always found Korean-based designer Bumsuk Choi’s General Idea to be a quirky yet utilitarian collection.  It is filled with humor and excellent details.  As usual, there are a few pieces I would gladly steal.  Take for example, this stars and stripes jumper that takes inspiration from archival hockey images of the teams in the 1968 Winter Olympics. I don’t know much from hockey but I do know that I want this sweater.

This season General Idea collaborated with Launching M on these killer hiking boots and there are lots of accessories to add to your collections of fitted hats and shades.

Check out the full runway collection here.

If you haven’t figured it out yet, I have a thing for denim.  It starts in the fall and lasts through spring.  Summertime is all about a denim cut-off and with the collection I have there are always a few pairs ripe for the hacking.  But I digress, this post is about my market recap of the AG Jeans FW12 collection.

The preview was tucked away in the heart of downtown in Greenwich Village in a loft space with rustic wood floors, metal walls and vintage couches.  The vibe fit well with the embroidered jeans, 70’s style flares and rainbow of corduroys being offered up for fall by denim staple AG.

You can’t tell from the photo but this orange loose knit sweater from @LandsEndCanvas knocked my socks off. Need this now, can’t wait til spring.
