If you haven’t figured it out yet, I have a thing for denim.  It starts in the fall and lasts through spring.  Summertime is all about a denim cut-off and with the collection I have there are always a few pairs ripe for the hacking.  But I digress, this post is about my market recap of the AG Jeans FW12 collection.

The preview was tucked away in the heart of downtown in Greenwich Village in a loft space with rustic wood floors, metal walls and vintage couches.  The vibe fit well with the embroidered jeans, 70’s style flares and rainbow of corduroys being offered up for fall by denim staple AG.

Market Recap : Billy Reid FW12

Last week I dropped into the warm and cozy showroom of @Billy_Reid.  I found a fair share of men’s shirting and sweaters that I wanted to steal.  Here are some of my top picks.

I love how very Neil Young this leather jacket is.

Keep it crispy!

I would totally steal this sweater to wear with blue suede shoes.

You can visit Mr.Reid’s tumblr here and shop for clothes here!

Double dates!  @Lacoste for sweet ballet flats and suede colorways #ForTheBoys @ProjectShow

#ForTheBoys : Made in England the softest printed shirts @BenSherman1963 @ProjectShow Makes a man touchable. Cover up in swanky parkas with leather contrasting sleeves.

Fashion and funny guys..  What we love to look at.  Peek inside the Antenna Magazine fashion office.

Peeking at what’s in the new shop (opening Friday!) Barracks in Soho. Luxury jackets, knits and tees all hand crafted by designer Greg Lauren from vintage military fabrics.

Lovely details from the Rebecca Minkoff resort collection I dropped in on last week.  It’s nice that I come home from a holiday and get to look at lovely things to wear on a holiday.  Hmpff.

On the job today with Patrick Stump (of Fall Out Boy) whose got a new solo project coming out.

I walked in to the Bellstaff showroom for the fall preview and immediately I heard the song Take My Breath Away by Berlin start playing.  In my inner dj booth, that is.  The collection is so Top Gun, I can’t even stand it.  I mean that in the best possible way.

These are a few of my favorite pieces.  Now I need to go find my aviators.

Amazing performance by Florence with great behind the scenes footage.  I’m sorry I’m still posting on the Met Gala but this is so good.

THE ULTIMATE LOOK INSIDE THE MET GALA: Walk up the red-carpeted stairs, step inside the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and check out the biggest party of the year in this exclusive behind-the-scenes video. Take a peek at the featured exhibit, “Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty,” view the never-before-seen performance of Florence + the Machine inside the Temple of Dendur, and catch a glimpse of Beyoncé and Jay-Z, Gisele and Tom, Gwyneth, and many more.

Alexis Bittar Fall Preview

I don’t usually post fashion previews in long posts but there were so many amazing pieces to show from the Alexis Bittar preview I just had to share them all.  Ger ready for some major eye candy.

And Yes, I tried on as many pieces as I could get my hands on.

Ran into the agnès b. boutique slash art gallery in Soho for the Fall preview and was thrilled to find quirky capes and coats paired with beautiful silk skirts and dresses printed with agnès’s own photographers.

The space is light and airy to showcase not only the fine threads for men and women but an array of art on the walls in the front area.  Located on Howard street in Soho.

On my way out I snagged a yellow poster of a photo of an owl by Ryan McGinley.  Whoot! Something for the new apartment.

Last week we hit the really fun ASOS preview at Milk Gallery and got lower case t tipsy while drooling over fun fashion from mega online retail site ASOS.  If you aren’t familiar I suggest you click the link and get to shopping.  They have everything you want and even more of what you didn’t know you wanted.

Here are a few of my favorite things shot with my hipstamatic on my iphone.  Fancy photergraphy, eh?  Don’t answer that, I know where my skills lie and picture taking ain’t one of them, but picture making I am good at.

Stopped by the O’neill preview at the Hotel Rivington on a blustery overcast day.  The perfect way to start my day off.  Had some yummy breakfast + mimosas while checking out the teeny tiny bikinis.  I was truly surprised by all the super cute offerings for the ladies.  Peep some of my favorites.
