We need to make books cool again. If you go home with somebody and they don’t have books, don’t fuck them
Stylist Picks: Methods.
When I am compiling the images from Style.com to make these round ups, I don’t read any reviews before hand. I go with my gut instincts. Sometimes I watch the runway video (for the shows I did and did not attend) to see how the clothes move. Since I am reacting from my stylist gut, I am thinking about the women who get to wear these styles. There is a difference from who wears McQueen and Vuitton to who wears J.Crew and Kate Spade. Some designers we can only take inspiration from while others are easily attainable.
It is not until after I make my Stylist Picks that I begin to research into the designer’s inspiration and motivations for a collection. Sometimes after collecting that information my appreciation for the show broadens. Sometimes it changes over time. Sometimes as I view more and more collections in detail I see elements repeating themselves by different designers. I find the collective consciousness of fashion to be truly fascinating.
I have been on tumblr for a few years now and this space has grown and changed just like I have and just like fashion itself does. And just like life itself, it is not always consistent but I appreciate those of you who are interested and keep coming back for more.

Fashion should be a form of escapism, and not a form of imprisonment.
Stylist Picks: Here’s mega-dose of magical inspiration for you. Just look to Sarah Burton’s dreamy and fantastical FW14 collection of Alexander McQueen. To deal with the mundane trappings of life I need a potion of magic and fairy tales in my day-to-day and these mink dotted dresses or the exquisite lace and organza baby-doll silhouettes is a witches brew straight out of the forest.
It is never too late to be what you might have been.
