Crystals and Talisman are a must for protection. Get yours with these gems: Pamela Love & Bing Bang know the power.
I can’t stop with the Game of Thrones references. It’s one of those stories that just takes over your entire point of view when you are reading it. I started on the 1st book when I was moving from Brooklyn to LA so it took forever to finish because I was so busy. I needed a break but now I have picked up watching the series and I’m well into the second book.
Expectedly, I am digging out my capes. I used to feel like a super-secret fashion super-hero in my Alexander Wang cape but now I am channeling being a knight in the 7 kingdoms. Yes, I know I am a big nerd. Don’t judge.
Taking the black for the Night’s Watch?
Black Tee: Plenty of gold coins / Not so much.
Super Skinnies: GOLDSIGN are top notch.
Black Boots: ASH has a great pair.
Need a Cape?
Bank Breaker or Super Saver.

That’s what I call a LBD. Cape action is an added bonus.

What are your thoughts on Lana’s cape?

Stefano Pilati’s final collection for Yves Saint Laurent was heavy in symbolism. From the white calla lilies to the body armor of chain mail dresses there was a sense of finality. It is believed that the calla lily represents purity, death and rebirth while chain mail was used to protect the body from death in the middle ages.
I personally found all the leather pieces to be too heavy and severe but I thought the capes and knit capelet above were so elegant. It is as if the skin slashes through the garments. As usual, the shoes were stunning in sculptural metallic designs.

I think it’s lovely how delicate the heavy metal dresses can look.

You can view the full collection @ NYMag where I culled these images from and the detail shots from the excellent detail gallery visit Style.com.
There was a real sexy-sweet vibe happening @alexandragrecco with beautiful sequin sheath dresses that Sophia Loren would have looked stunning in and cashmere blend capes that I wanted to walk off with @Capsuleshow.

I finally got around to going through my Tel Aviv images. You will see everything in the next few days. All of these pics were taken by the sweet Natalie Off Duty. We pretty much ran all over Tel Aviv in three fun fashion packed days with Poppy & Gabby.
L to R: Line + Dot cut off tee with Miss Sixty skirt and Melissa flats with Cheap Monday Sunnies. Anglomania by Vivienne Westwood tunic with Alexander Wang cape and United Nude booties and Fossil bag. Skirt worn as a dress by Ishtar. Allsaints ikat print dress with Forever 21 jacket and KBL sunglasses.
So many goodies to behold at the Paul Smith fall preview. I LOVE Paul Smith. Luxurious and witty, that’s how I want my clothes. Check out a few of my favorite things.
All photos taken with Hipstamatic on the iphone.

6. Floppy hats and elbow gloves.

7. Jewel tones.

11. This look. I mean, seriously. She is not messing around.

The presentation was in the old New York Times location. It was a huge space with amazing light streaming through the windows. The models were placed high on pedestals and the crowd was equally a mix of fashion plates.
The hats & eyewear were a collabo by Selima.

Oh my gosh, it was not that long ago when it was super bright and crispy out. I could get away with being warm enough in just some layers and a wool cape. Soon I will go on a much needed break down south to Florida for 3 of my favorite things: Family, Sunshine and Thrifting.
These shots are from a beautiful day in December. Not totally sure what I have on other than my amazing Robert Geller (menswear) cape over another cape-like shawl c/o Urban Outfitter’s. I have no idea what else is under there but the leggings are super-thick c/o Kai-Aakmann. My Angie ankle boots c/o Koolaburra and the softest fur felt Trilby c/o Kangol. My over sized 70’s shades are c/o 55DSL. My YSL Muse bag, Adrienne Landau scarf and Echo of the Dreamer bird ring & crystal ring complete the look.
