Once When I Was calling NYC my home I rarely wore all black. I know it is a uniform for most in the city but wearing it gets me feeling down. Now I am finding that to balance the brightness of LA I am reaching towards basic black more and more. I still need to punch it up with some color to combat the darkness but I do love the way it really makes every other element in my outfit stand out a tad bit more.
Black Tee are a dime a dozen. Lots of dimes or Just a few.
Skinny Jeans c/o Levi’s.
Blue monk straps from ASOS. Lots of cash or On a budget.
White tweed jacket from Zara. High or Low.
Bridget clutch c/o MeChar. Vintage Scarf and H+M necklace.

Yesterday I had the pleasure to style the FIT Future of Fashion Show featuring the best of the bunch of the graduating class of 2012. I featured fantastic jewelry from ASOS, AZ by Azature, Bing Bang by Anna Sheffield, Kate Cummings, Species by the 1000’s, Juliet and Company, Asha Patel, Elizabeth Knight, Ax + Apple and Cold Picnic.
The gloves were from the glovemaster of the runway, LaCrasia.

It may be sunny but it is still chilly… one of the last times I get to wear my Uniqlo J+ coat. I’m on trend with the pop of neon from my LemLem scarf but most of all I love the vintage brooch that my cousin passed on to me from my Aunt. They know I will wear the weirdest pieces. Worn with the Liz Claiborne sweater I scored at the thrifty in Florida, In My Air blouse, cat skirt found on Etsy and ASOS monk straps with my dear YSL muse bag.
