Once When I Was back in Brooklyn a few years ago I dressed up as Medusa for Halloween. Now I live in LA and I can just repeat costumes. I’m starting off easy with this one. I always DIY my costumes so if you need a last minute idea, here you go.
You need a gown; I happen to have an awesome blue one I never get to wear because where am I going in a gown. Or go get a white sheet and tie it up toga style. Get some fake gold chains and twist a bunch one the shoulder of the knotted sheet, your waist and the wrist of the opposite of the shoulder. (Gotta stay balanced.) If you have a bunch of gold bangles and cuffs use these too!
Now you need your snakes. You can find the small, zig-zag kind for about 2 bucks at toy stores, gag shops or Halloween super stores. I don’t recommend getting the coiled up ones, too hard to manage. If you have long hair like me you can just braid them in and rubber band them. If not, I suggest getting a medium long wavy wig in red and banding them in there. If you want to get really fancy, top it off with a roman, golden leaf wreath and twist a snake around that as well.
Do your make up all pale on your skin, a red lip and lots of gold eye make up.
There you go, a quick, last minute, semi-easy, not slutty, relatively cheap costume.
